Zip-Guard Natural Wood Conditioner is an oil-based wood conditioner to use before staining. Soft woods and old porous woods can absorb more stain than new, tight grain or sealed woods. This can cause a darker tone or blotching (lighter and darker areas). To reduce blotching and eliminate over-absorption of the stain, use Zip-Guard Natural Wood Conditioner before staining. This will condition any wood to obtain more consistent results.
Available in half-pints, quarts, and gallons. A half-pint covers 60 square feet or one table and two chairs. A quart covers 250 square feet or 15 kitchen cabinets and trim. A gallon covers 1000 square feet.
